This consists of marking my legs every 4 cms from heel to groin in black [or sometimes red] marker pen and then measuring their girths. By the time the nurse has finished you could plant me at the side of the river and read the water level off the marks on my legs.
But you would be proud of me. I got an A* in my leg maintenance badge- the skin was well moisturized, [important to prevent skin breakdown and infection] no bigger than last year [first sign of elephant leg taking hold] and toes nails painted beautifully [just threw that in for good measure – she didn’t even notice, too busy checking between my toes.]
My prize? Two more passion- killer support stockings. Not content with this I awarded myself a M&S salad and good book for the train journey home. Shame I’ve got to wait till next year to do it all again!
Suzi meanwhile, is living it up in San Francisco and too drunk to blog today, but will be fit for duty tomorrow- alright for some.
